Finally... a Heritage Album

I have wanted to start a Heritage Album for years now... but the task always seemed so daunting so I never started and I just kept putting it off. The challenge last week on ScrapCentral was to do a Heritage page. I don't think I would have started without the little nudge in the right direction, so thanks Teresa!!! I finally started and now I'm well on my way!

Here's my first "official" Heritage page of my Grandmother Elsie.

This was a challenge at ScrapCentral, I think it may just be my favorite ever! We had to choose an album cover as part of a team and then do a LO around it. My Dad had an album collection and I asked him to pull out some cool covers... this Charlie Daniels Band album was the first one he thought to pull out and it's the one we ended up using so I thought it appropriate to do a LO with my Dad!

Here is my version of the cover as well as the original:

Finding Mojo Through Competitions

I've been doing a competition over at ScrapCentral called "So You Think You Can Scrap" and one over at Scraptivity called "Scraptivity's Next Apprentice" and holy cow is the mojo ever flowing! I have been more productive in the last month than ever! Pressure is an excellent motivator and it has forced me to maybe scrap in a way I never would have before... such as simplifying my style and making my process speed up a bit. If you're having trouble with your creativity or even just getting motivated... I highly recomend a little healthy competition... it may be exactly what you need!!
